On Judgement Day, if I have believed in God, and tried to live right all my life, but I sinned a few times here and there, but never killed anyone, and apologized when I hurt people, and gave money to charities, Am I going to hell? What about people who divorce because their spouse cheated on them? Are they going to hell? What about if you divorced your spouse because you fell out of love? What about if you were an alcoholic? What if you played the ouija board when you were 15 a few times? under these rules doesn't that mean everyone is going to hell? Would God really do that? I mean eternal hell seems a little mean.

I believe that if I am a basically good people there is a place in heaven for me - and believe that of all people, regardless of their religion or faith - as long as they didn't do anything to turn others away from God. I don't believe that God is as petty as some people believe - but hey, that is their belief and they are entitled to is, as I am entitled to my belief.

"if I have believed in God, and tried to live right all my life, but I sinned a few times here and there, but never killed anyone, and apologized when I hurt people, and gave money to charities, Am I going to hell" ... I don't know, God will judge your heart.

"What about people who divorce because their spouse cheated on them? Are they going to hell?" - no, the Bible says that if your spouse cheats on you, you can divorce them.

"What about if you divorced your spouse because you fell out of love?" - Marriage isn't about love, hon, it's about commitment.

"What about if you were an alcoholic?" ... it's a sin, just like any other; if you have truly fought the temptation, if your heart belonged to God despite your dependance on alcohol, no, you won't go to hell.

"What if you played the ouija board when you were 15 a few times? " - No big deal, especially now that you know it's baloney lol

"under these rules doesn't that mean everyone is going to hell?" No, it's not about the rules hon, it's about what is in your heart.

I'm not a Christian, so I'm probably the wrong person to answer this question. In fact, I'm an athiest, I don't believe in a god, so I make my own morailty.

What I think you should do in your life is to do what you think is right by yourself and the people around you. Support your family and friends, help them out when they need it. Help strangers too, if you can, and do whatever you think the best thing to do is, in any situation.

At the end of your life, there will be nobody there to judge your life and send you to hell. But there will be someone even harder to please - yourself.

If you believe in yourself that you have done good in the world, you won't have any regrets when your life is over.

If you have truly accepted Christ as your Lord and Savior. You will go to Heaven.

Everyone sins everyday. You will always sin, until you die. Being a Christian does not give you the license to sin, it just means that if you struggle and lose, you are forgiven.

Divorced Christians will not go to Hell.

Alcoholic Christians will not go to Hell, but this is assuming that they are true Christians who struggle with this battle and lose occasionally. If they are practicing this sinful behavior, I would question their Christianity.

The only unforgivable sin is rejecting Christ.

Hell is for those who chose the world (Satan) over Jesus. God will not drag those into Heaven who do not want to go (such as the unsaved who did not accept Him), but Satan will drag them kicking and screaming off to Hell).

You can do all those things you mentioned, and still go to heaven. You can murder, and cheat on your spouse, and sin in other ways and still go to heaven. When Jesus was dying on the cross, the man next to him who was also dying, decided to believe in Jesus. He died soon after and went to heaven. You can live a life in sin (although I don't recommend it) and if you accept Jesus as your Savior (even the SECOND before you die). Going to heaven is based on you accepting Jesus and repenting, NOT doing good works. Good works are just your way of living like Jesus, which we all should try to do.

No, dear ... none of us are going to hell. You aren't going to have to face judgement day because there is no god. You don't sound like you are a bad person, so don't get caught up in the religious idea that you are a sinner. Focus on enjoying the life you have now and following your own personal ethics and values.

"Anyway, if you stopped tellin' people it's all sorted out after they're dead, they might try sorting it all out while they're alive." -- the book "Good Omens", by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett.

Personally, I think that if you're an all around good person, God wouldn't send you to hell. But it depends on what you believe. It's OK to make mistakes as long as you fix them, and I don't think you'll be sent to hell for doing something, well I don't know, human. I think only really bad people get sent to hell.

Depends on your religion. Christians will say that until you accept Jesus Christ as your savior you will not enter the kingdom of heaven. Jews beleive more in the search for truth, a Catholic believes if given the Sacred Sacrament they will go to heaven.

As to what I believe well there is no heaven nor hell, no God in heaven to save us, no Satan in hell to scare us into submission, when you die you die thats it.

God makes the rules... you don't... we all have to live by them... or not... as you choose... but those who reject God(not played by his rules) will, ultimatly, be rejected by Him... what the fate of those rejected will be is debated... but it will be eternal seperation from God at the least. And that aint good

All who come to God in The Way He prescribes will receive His free gift of Salvation and will become of The Body ofThe Church of which Jesus The Christ is The Head. Those are the ones of The True Christian Faith. Only those of The Church will enter Heaven.... No on can make up their own way to God... you must come to Him in The Way He prescribes.

Well going by the assumption there is a God and a Hell I would have to say that based on Christian beliefs as long as you repent your sins you will be forgiven.

I personally think it isn't much more than a fairy tale. So by your standards I am certainly headed there myself...
