Origin of hair dye?

Just wondering if anyone had any info on the origin of hair dye, like the oldest found evidence of it, and how it was done?

Otherwise, any specific places (internet, ect.) where I may be able to find some of this info?

I have always heard of Henna as the original hair dye. You could google Henna and see what you get.
