Many people calling themselves Christians claim the the original (Catholic) church is a false religion. If it is wouldn't that make every Christian Church false as they all came from ours? Why attack another Christian anyway? Jesus is the Prince of Peace so please follow Him if you claim to be Christian and spread peace yourself. Your attacks cause non-Christians to believe we are all intolerant argumentative fools.

Correct on all counts. The problem is that those who make such attacks (on Catholics or anyone else) ARE "intolerant, arguementative fools." So how do we (meaning the majority of Christians) deal with them?

I don't know any Christians that claim Catholicism to be false. That's strange. I do see where we (Protestants) disagree with Catholics. But, I know that the main point is believing that Jesus died on the cross for our sins. And if you accept Him into your heart, and repent, you will have everlasting life with Him. There will always be disagreements between different sects of Christianity, but I think if you keep the main thing the main thing, you are set!

The Catholic church started out right but they swerved radically off course. The question one should ask is how many non-believers have preconceived notions about God because of the many atrocities perpetrated by the Catholic church (ie. there current act of shielding an American Bishop, that was convicted of child molestation, within the Vatican, there countless murderous acts upon people who believed differently than they, be it protestants or "heretics") The list goes on. Romans 2:24 seems very relevant in this case, "For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you..." The fact that others that came before me went astray has no bearing on my faith or my relationship with God.

I am an atheist, so I dont have a religion, but I wanted to make comment on the question. Who in their right mind is going to answer "yes, my religion is false."? I understand what you are saying the second part of your question, but I am kind of tickled over the first part.

I would disagree with your thinking here. When someone purtorts to be a Christian yet he/she defy what is written in GOD's WORD then he/she certainly makes a mockery of our FATHER in Heaven. Christ taught and prayed that we all would be one in thinking, NOT that we would all do so by rewriting HIS FATHER's WORD. The Catholic thinking is not of the BIBLE. It has become almost satanic. The Scriptures tell us not to add to nor take from them. Yet, each and every POPE that is elected by the catholic church has done so by changing what their people can and can not do or say in everyday living.

Study these scriptures and see what you think. To become a Christian:
1. We must HEAR GOD’s WORD. - Romans 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
2. We are told to BELIEVE. - To the Prison guard in Acts 16:31 Paul and Silas said, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household."
3. We must REPENT (turn from) of our sins. - Acts 17:30 Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent.
4. We are told to CONFESS CHRIST before men. - Matthew 10:32 "Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven.
5. We are to enter the waters and BE BAPTIZED. - Mark 16:16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.
6. We are told to CONTINUE TO BE FAITHFUL until death. - Revelation 2:10b Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.
Send me a note if you have questions. I am anxious to hear from you. Have a Great day.

It depends.
I think a lot of people think that early Catholics were very corrupt and hid too much from the people, and that trend has carried through to today...

I really don't think that any one religion is "true" these days...they all came from something else...

No one knows which (if any) religion is true. People who say that they know are indeed intolerant argumentative fools.
