Does the concept of the trinity, neglect the unity of the individual believer in the spirit? Christians are exhorted to be like Jesus, but most seem to think it's not really possible.

John 17:20-21
Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word. That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
John 17:22-23
And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: I in them and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

Dear Cemya2:

Our Creator is expansive: He Creates more of Himself. He has not shape, form, nor color. We "see" Him not through human eyes. We Know Him - as He Knows us. We Know Him in that part of us that lies, seemingly, behind the human Intellect ; that Being humans call Spirit-Mind or Soul. God Creates Spirit-Mind or Soul - more of Himself. He is of great Magnitude, for He fills all space (the Void). He contains All Knowledge and Knowing: In His Creation exists the Intelligence of Purpose. He does not use all concepts He contains. He does order His Thoughts as Higher and Lower. His choice of the design of His "Kingdom" was His Highest Thought, and our source of Perfection:

God Knows us as individual Thoughts He had and Willed. Although we can think autonomously, we also receive His Thoughts. (All of God's Thoughts were in His Mind, first. ) Yet, God thinks upon us in the abstract, as One. Our equality lies in our sameness. We exist within Him and He is certainly within us. This is because without shape or form , we are an expansion of Himself (while individually Created), and intertwined in and around each other within Him. Where He begins and we leave off, is not discernible. The Ecstasy of His "Kingdom" IS the One-ness. We are in a state, within Him, of Boundless-ness ; Unopposed, Unlimited, and in the throes of Ecstatic Creation - which never ceases. Our Souls or spirit-minds while in the experience of the physical are in constant communion, as always, with Him. For, the human Intellect senses Him not, but the Soul behind it, is in a deep Intimacy with Him. We are Created to be in the throes of Creation with Him, and to be Host to His feelings and Thoughts, while remaining able to present our own responses and thoughts in a reciprocal flow - back to Him. At once and at the same time, we are all in communion with each other through spirit-mind. In human terms , within a "nanosecond" we receive ALL Thought from throughout the "Kingdom," and respond ; we are a crescendo of life and eternal aliveness, in our state within Him.

Jesus never hesitates to teach anyone who offers him an invitation. He desires to teach us everything he was taught, himself, by the Holy Spirit. He desires us to know everything he knows. For this is his work : To bring about, through the Holy Spirit, the Return from the Great Separation. To learn all Jesus has to offer may take a lifetime (or two, as the expression goes), but it is the Will of Jesus to teach each one, through the human Intellect, the Remembrance of our One-ness and what all that contains. We are already like him - we just need to remember that is so. He stands before us to demonstrate a higher Reality - that we own, forever.

Jesus is certainly One with his "Abba," yet so are you and me. I am also One with YOU, as you are with me. The One-ness cannot be put asunder. To speak the Truth is to be like a Sword : we blaspheme when we deny our One-ness. When we declare it to be, as Jesus did - we stand in Truth, unwavering.

The physical experience is one of boundaries, limitations, opposition, competition and self-interest. This is not the design of His "Kingdom." There are many conclusions to draw from this . . ..

Some Christian churches are Trinity focused - others are Christ focused - and still others are God focused. Our One-ness with the Creator is seen by Trinity-focused believers as God and His Holy Spirit and One Son. God is all three. He was Jesus, Incarnate. While we are most definitely inseparable, in Spirituality it is believed: That the Holy Spirit was a Creation of God's just as we were, individually - that He was Created for the Plan of our Salvation and Return ; that Jesus as a member of the Sonship is also a Created Being, as we all are. He is a "Brother." "We are the World !" Remember that song? Yet, we are all a part OF God, but not God.

Sincerely, Lana

At John 17:21, 22, he prayed to God that his disciples "may all be one, just as you, Father, are in union with me and I am in union with you, that they also may be in union with us, . . . that they may be one just as we are one." Was Jesus praying that all his disciples would become a single entity? No, obviously Jesus was praying that they would be united in thought and purpose, as he and God were.—See also 1 Corinthians 1:10.

At 1 Corinthians 3:6, 8, Paul says: "I planted, Apollos watered . . . He that plants and he that waters are one." Paul did not mean that he and Apollos were two persons in one; he meant that they were unified in purpose. The Greek word that Paul used here for "one" (hen) is neuter, literally "one (thing)," indicating oneness in cooperation. It is the same word that Jesus used at John 10:30 to describe his relationship with his Father. It is also the same word that Jesus used at John 17:21, 22. So when he used the word "one" (hen) in these cases, he was talking about unity of thought and purpose.

There isn't a Trinity. Trinity teaches that there are three persons in the godhead. God is Spirit, Holy Ghost is Spirit, Jesus is (Colossians 2:9) for in him dwealeth the godhead bodily! Ask God to reveal Himself to you.

atheists don't think that each thing got here from no longer something. in reality atheism makes no declare as to how the universe began. it basically says that there is not any reason to think of that a god did it. the humorous difficulty is, christians think of the universe got here from no longer something. think of roughly it, if i create a table, i do no longer choose it into existence I could construct it out of fabric that already exists. yet interestingly god can create ex nihilo. so via their very own definition we did come from no longer something. so besides, the muse of the universe, the reason for the huge bang itself. btw the huge bang is a reality, all of us comprehend that it handed off, we are no longer fullyyt specific why. i will respond to this slightly via fact i'm a physicist, yet it incredibly is not proper to my atheism. the 1st difficulty that one needs to get exhilaration from is which you will no longer get stunning trouble-free info right here. it incredibly is the challenge we run into whilst coping with severe skill physics. on the dimensions of the quantum or the cosmological issues basically paintings in yet in a diverse way. that's quite counter intuitive and many of the time there are no words in human language to describe what's definitely happening. that's a international of grotesque finding math. it works, quantum mechanics makes predictions so precise it will make you flow eyed, yet we gained't describe it in human language via fact the guidelines of the quantum international, do no longer prepare in our international and vice versa. we don't comprehend how the universe began precisely, yet we do comprehend some issues. case in point in quantum physics you quite can get something from no longer something. that's a effect of the uncertainty theory little bits of skill are created actually out of no longer something, yet they exist for any such short instant that it does not violate the 1st regulation. 2nd, reason and consequence does not prepare right here. the mechanism that reasons radioactive decay works this style. you've got an consequence and not employing a reason, issues can basically ensue spontaneously. so some ideas run alongside those lines, that some form of quantum journey created the singularity. a 0 quantity factor that contained all of time and area and better from there. i comprehend it is not an extremely gratifying answer, yet a lot of this continues to be theoretical and prefer i mentioned it defies popular language and uncomplicated sense. even i do no longer are attentive to it a million/2 the time. besides i'm hoping that enables

You just quoted my favorite bible verse: John: 27:23. If you are a believer, and Jesus said that he prays we will be one with him and the Father, do you doubt it?

Please re-read that scripture. He was praying for unity WITHIN the BELIEVERS.

Thats like saying "I want my children to have a marriage like mine, because its so good". You are not saying "I want my children to be married to me".

11I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name—the name you gave me—so that they may be one as we are one.

You had a good point at first. And then you fell into the reverse chicken trap (strawman fallacy).
