There are many smooth tequilas, although tequila has this rough image, since many years ago premium and ultra-premium tequilas have been available... so much that the 100% blue agave category is the fastest growing in US.

I personally like Casa Noble, at the same time it is smooth it has a lot of character.

"Casa Noble ultra premium tequilas begin as carefully selected individual 10 year old plants of Blue Agave. Each one must meet the strict requirements for water and sugar content. We slow-cook them for 38 hours in stone ovens.

Then, using only the core and hearts of the agaves, we extract their robust juice. The fermentation process is 100% natural, followed by a triple distillation. The result is a tequila so pure and full of agave flavor that it has elevated the concept of tequila to new levels around the world.

Casa Noble Tequila Produced and Bottled in Mexico. 40% Alc/Vol (80 Proof). 100% Blue Agave."

Absolutely. You want an Anejo Tequila and you want to serve it VERY VERY cold. Herradura, Cabo Wabo, and Patron all have very nice anejos.

Anejo means it's been aged at least a year in Oak Barrels. This allows the tequila to mellow out some - it can get rid of some of that burn that silvers and golds have.

Does Tequila not taste smooth to you? If not I guess I would recommend Patron or a 100 agave to you

Silver tequilas are typically smoother (meaning they go down easier and taste better). Patron is a great brand of tequila. Very smooth.

I would suggest cabo wabo...but after about 5 shots of any tequila everything is smooth....including the bathroom floor when you are done drinking.

Yes I have found that price does designate how smooth the tequila is. Try something that is higher in price, and compare it to something that is low in price and you will definately be able to tell the difference.

Absolutely! A lot of it depends on how old it is and what kind you have (i.e. anejo, reposado or blanco). So, if you are willing to part with the money, I would suggest Jose Cuervo de la Familia. We have it at every family party, and it is great to sip on. Very smooth anejo. Hope you enjoy!
