ok, this question is for extreme right-wing westerners. Unlike moderate conservatives like George Bush (who believe america can win the heart and souls of muslims and reform the islamic world), you believe that islam is inherantly violent and evil. yet islam is the religion of a billion men women and children in almost every part of the world...so how can it be eradicated...especially when anyone, even a white guy can just convert to islam and be a radical. islam is all races...its not always visible...and its spread out in all areas...its not centralized...and any attempt to kill them all will just radicalize more so, either prove you can eradicate islam while leaving the west intact, or tell how else to deal with islam. if it can't be dealt with and is destined to conquer the world, then why would you even try to oppose something that is un-opposable??

"These people are really violent; solution - let's kill 'em all." I'd say that's a fair summary of the mindset of the typical rabid con groupie.

It comes down to "Us vs. Them," of course. Fundie Muslims believe that the Christian West is irredeemable; fundie Christians return the sentiment as regards the Islamic Middle East. Each side wants to exterminate the other from the face of the earth, and each side can pretend that it has divine sanction for its hostility. And each actually gains "conviction" from the hostilities of the other. "You see how they are? Just like we've always said."

It's a case of two cultures which really are fundamentally incompatible. Leaving altogether aside the question of which is "right," the fact remains that when they meet, blood will be spilled. I hope you understand that neither is going to just throw in the towel, either. Nobody is going to say "Well, they're destined to conquer the world, so why oppose?"

First of all I can't stand people that are so opposed to Islam. Islam in itself is not bad. It's the radical Musslims that we always hear about that make Islam sound bad. And for us to want to destroy the 2nd largest religious group in the world is WRONG!! If someone was to tell me that they wanted to destroy Christians I would be pissed because I am Christian. I don't see why you would want to destroy an entire religion based on what a few extremists of that religion do. That would be like saying we need to do away with the Catholics because of the inquisitions. Every belief and religion has extremistes to one extreme or another. That is no reason to try and destroy the belief all together.
