The Old Law was "Nailed to the Cross at Calvary". It is no more. The New Testament is our FATHER's LAW for Christians. Read, study, and obey HIS WORD. Study these scriptures and see what you think. To become a Christian:
1. We must HEAR GOD’s WORD. - Romans 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
2. We are told to BELIEVE. - To the Prison guard in Acts 16:31 Paul and Silas said, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household."
3. We must REPENT (turn from) of our sins. - Acts 17:30 Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent.
4. We are told to CONFESS CHRIST before men. - Matthew 10:32 "Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven.
5. We are to enter the waters and BE BAPTIZED. - Mark 16:16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.
6. We are told to CONTINUE TO BE FAITHFUL until death. - Revelation 2:10b Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.
Send me a note if you have questions. I am anxious to hear from you. Have a Great day.

Do you have a specific verse in mind, or are you truly desiring living the tribal way of life? The Old Testament is full of stories of our ancestors struggles over sin and following God's leading. God dealt with His people as He saw fit, for the time in which they lived. He had a plan in mind, and we're all part of that plan. As His plan unfolded, times and things changed. With the New Testament brought about the fulfillment of God's plan. People no longer needed to live the life they used to live. Sin had a provision, in the form of Jesus Christ. Killing & enslaving was no longer called for. Its purpose had passed. Why did God allow it back then? Read about it. You'll find that there was a reason behind it. While some of it doesn't seem to make sense to us, God had His reasons, and since we cannot see the past and future like He can, He's bringing about His plan. One of the reasons He called for the killing of other tribes is because He knew that if those tribes weren't killed, their superstitions and idols would be embraced by His own people (which happened way too often). He had set aside one tribe, to serve & worship Him only. The Old Testament tells of this great story, of His people, constantly straying away from trusting in Him, going into bondage, through their own willfulness. Then, God would draw them back to Himself, knowing that He had a plan for their salvation. It's still true today. <*)))><

Yes. But we do not adhere to the old testament anymore. When Jesus came, he brought a new covenant, and the old testament laws were abolished. God knows that man isnt perfect, and is unable to follow the law perfectly.

No he doesn't
His last command to kill was 3,200 years ago. His command wasn't open ended. It was directed at a specific group of people, in a specific time and specific place. Apart from self defense, that’s it

That was under the old covenant. We are now in Grace. We are to Love the Lord our God with all of our heart, mind, body, and soul. And to Love our neighbor as ourselves!

The Bible is a history book, too. Re-read it, it was honest enough to record the history of people doing things because they thought that is was either what God wanted, or ..... it was ok with God.

Would you prefer a dishonest history? (don't say it, I've already heard it. - just kidding)
