Oh boy, if the cat has fleas, the carpeting has fleas, meaning you have fleas in the house, and the Dawn should not be used on you, or your carpeting.
Useless to rid the cat of fleas without treating the house.

Dawn is very good at killing fleas, especially on young kittens when it is unsafe to use most flea products. When we got our two kittens, they were seven weeks old, former strays, and full of fleas! We used the Dawn, which kills the fleas but you still need to comb and pick the fleas out. Also, start at the head because if you start with the body all the fleas will run to your cats head and face, which is scary and stressful for you both.

WALMART, But if your cat has fleas then you are going to need an exterminator too. For your cat get some Skin So Soft from AVON {see your Avon Representative locally}. smear it on your cat it will smell good and the fleas hate it, however do this after the ORKIN man leaves.

I believe Shopper's Drug mart has Dawn.... make sure 100% it is safe for cats..... just in case it causes skin irritation....
I would suggest a reasonably priced one at the pet store if you cannot afford Frontline as it will work for sure and it will be 100% OK for the kitty.
Good luck with the fleas

At your local grocery store, but I think that maybe you should take your cat to the vet to get rid of her fleas.

in any store in the soap isle, if you bathe the kitty in the sink let the water get luke warm or slightly warmer, running softly not splashing all over. hold the cat by the scruff of the neck. and if he shows very much fear, just let him sit on the edge of the sink first and listen to the water and your soft encouraging voice. with your free hand reach into the stream of water and gently cup some and let it slide off kittys back. if he takes that ok...try a bit more. move slowly until u can get him all wet...some cats come to enjoy bath time...i had one 2 different cats i could actually take in the shower with me...and i have seen one on tv bathing himself under the kitchen faucet. try to bathe the cat quickly and with as little restraint as he will let you get away with...the more voluntary he makes it, the more positive the experience it will be for him. good luck. please let me know how it goes...

Ok seriously, stop being cheap and buy some frontline. It's guaranteed to get rid of fleas, and you don't have to have the guilt that you were too cheap to take care of your pet properly.
