* Nowhere in the bible does it say mary Magdelene was a prostitute.. church goers just take fro granted anything that has been beleived for sometime. One problem I always had was Paul talks about a man who was caught up to the third heaven, and he even said it was not himself, but scholars and church leaders say it was Paul. You would think Paul would know.*

There are many Marys in the bible. One was a prostitute. The early church identified this Mary with Mary Magdalene because it feared Mary Magdalene's power. For similar reasons, they suppressed those gospels which spoke too much of Mary Magdalene.

Biblical scholars have always viewed Mary the prostitute as a different woman than Mary Magdalene. After centuries of slander, the Catholic church has also, officially, said that this is the case.

That wasn't Mary as in Mary & Joseph, it was Mary Magdelene and I don't think it flat out accuses her as a prostitute. Not that I've seen anyway. Keep looking, and good luck.

If you are referring to Mary Magdalene, nowhere in the bible does it say she was a prostitute. This is a myth perpetuated by the christian church as a way to detract from the importance of women in religion.

Remember, the christians were competing with Goddess worship, so they did all they could to degrade women everywhere.

It doesn't. It says that Mary had 7 demons cast out from her. Misinterpretation will read that into her account.

There is none. There is an oblique reference to Mary Magdalene being a "fallen" woman. But that is it.
