my gosh, today so many people are so depressed because they dont have a bloody valentine. what is the problem? it is not a big deal to be single on valentines day. what can I do to cheer these friends up?

I wonder the same thing. I heard so many people say that they hated Valentines. And I don't really understand it. So what I told them was that it wasn't that important and some day they will have someone to share Valentines day with. There wasn't much more I could say to them.

i agree, it is no big deal to be single on valentines day. it really sucks that people dont have the self esteem to be ok with it. just tell your friends that they will find their special valentine someday and not to waste there time feeling depressed. suggest a party or night on the town to get them out of the SAD blues.

Do something with them to take their minds off the single status. I have a boyfriend today so I'm not really in a position to express any depression. But one of my friends jsut dumped her bf and has been dragging everyone else down so she doesn't feel so depressed alone. It's driving me absolutely insane. The best way to cheer them up is to remind them that they have really good friends who love them more than any bf or gf ever will and to do something you all enjoy doing, having lots of fun.

It should not be a big deal but people make, so its hard not to be sad if u dont have a valentine or have a bf and u dont know if your doing anything/

I am single but I do lack in confidence a bit when it comes to asking girls out. For people in that sort of situation, maybe a bit of advice could go a long way.

give them a smack!!!!!!!!. probably these are the same people who, when they have a partner, moan and groan how unhappy they are. people make too big a deal bout valentine's day as if that's the only day u have to show someone u love them.

take them out get pissed and have a good time, try & take their minds off of today, do stuff u did when u wer younger and didnt care about valentines day, thats wot me and my mates did 2day well.. minus the gettin pissed bit.

Lie to them all, tell them your madly in love with them. all those gushy things people in love say. I don't care if he meant it, I would just love to hear anyone say all that stupid crap to me today. Yeah, I'm one of the many people you were talking about.

Do what i am doing i am calling there voice mails and playing cheesy love songs they are all calling back in fits of giggles.. its great......
