9. wheels—(See on Ez 1:15,16). The things which, from Ez 10:8 to the end of the chapter, are repeated from the first chapter are expressed more decidedly, now that he gets a nearer view: the words “as it were,” and “as if,” so often occurring in the first chapter, are therefore mostly omitted. The “wheels” express the manifold changes and revolutions in the world; also that in the chariot of His providence God transports the Church from one place to another and everywhere can preserve it; a truth calculated to alarm the people in Jerusalem and to console the exiles [Polanus].

OMG!
Hey, I really think that it was a creature that was from heaven. You can call it a UFO if you want, because it certainly sounds like it was flying, and it wasn't like anything that I would have other than that to compare it to. I use the example to those brethren of mine to give an example of extraterestrial life. It seemed to be alive, and as the angels-- even God Himself, not from this world. Therefore-
extraterrestrial.
1. outside, or originating outside, the limits of the earth.

This chapter ( chapter 1 and chapter 10 of ezekial) talks about the glory of God and the day of His wrath. Look also at Daniel 7.

Good question.....
I've always understood it to be an angelic revelation.....almost UFO-like if you will.
Do I believe in UFOs? No....
But it must have been quite a site to see........
Might want to find some really good footnotes on the passage and see what the scholars say.
