If yes, than you don't ever tell her. Your punishment for your bad behavior is the guilt. You only want to confess so *you* can feel better. Instead, make sure you don't do anything to hurt your girlfriend in the future and live with the consequences of your actions--i.e. feeling like an ***hole for a long time to come.
If no, and you want to end things with this girl, tell her today. Valentine's day is actually the most common day for couples to break up.
If no, but you want to stay with this girl in a non-monogamous relationship, wait until next week. Valentine's day is waaay too loaded for that kind of conversation. But you need to come completely clean and let her know that while you want to be with her, you're not interested in a monogamous relationship. The rest is up to her.
