They turned me down for the loan for some reason and just did the check thing. I never gave them nor did they ask for my bank info. Told me to pick up a check there. Just wondering if I will get my check the same day they deposit it or if I am loaning them money and being charged for it.

Call H&R Block

Wow-I sure don't understand that. We efiled with H & R Block and have direct deposit, but it goes straight to our checking account from the IRS. We have done it that way for the past 2 years, so when the IRS website says it will be deposited on that particular day, it's always there on that day. Never heard of HBSC concering H & R Block...sorry.

If you elected to get your refund by direct deposit, the tax preparer (HR Block) will have nothing to do with with your refund. The money will be deposited directly into your account by IRS. If you had to pay a fee for tax prep and your fee is coming out of the refund then refund goes to HSBC. They deduct the bank fee normally about 25 dollars and the tax prep fee. The remainder is deposited directly into your bank account.
