Try the USGEN link off www.rootsweb.com. There are listings the 50 States, then the states by counties. There are often cemeteries listed in the individual county pages. But these pages may vary a good bit some pages might have ever cemetery in the county or city listed other counties may not list any. Some listed may be a old churchyard with a few dozen permanent residents others may be large city ones with hundreds. You some times have search manually, this can be good because you may come across relatives of your ancestors you are searching for may be able to piece the puzzle together

Three in a row - you certainly were persistant, weren't you?

The difference between "chat" and a bulletin board is that with a bulletin board you have to wait - sometimes up to 12 hours - for someone to answer you. Asking your Q again just clutters up the board.

The obituary, death certificate or funeral home records will tell you what cemetery the person is in. Armed with that data, you either visit the cemetery during business hours, call them during business hours, or write to them, enclosing a stamped, self-addressed envelope. One in 10,000 on-line cemetery listings have plot numbers. The vast majority of US Gen Web cemetery listings are in alphabetical order, with no plot information. One cemetery in 1,000 has an on-line list of records.
