Why would two hostile parties, Jews and Christians, who shared the common Old Testament, conspire to change it to support the views of a common enemy, the Muslims???

they wouldnt change it. muslims believe they have been changed or modified for the convenience of people

Where did you get this priceless piece of nonsense ? When, where and how was the Bible changed to conform to anything ? Muslims are certainly not the common enemy and why should they be ? They regard Christians and Jews alike as the people of the "Books" and Mohamed did have I believe a Nestorian priest and a rabbi as advisers.

The Muslims lived in relative peace in the Middle East and allowed Jews and Christian more freedom within their territory than Jews or Muslims were allowed within Christian territory. Then the Christians started the Crusades (not to mention the pogroms). More recently, the Christians gave much of (what was then) Muslim Palestine to the Jews who were fleeing the Christians in Europe.
Frankly either one of those acts weighs much more heavily on the Muslims than any alleged conspiracy to change scriptures.

If you think the Torah of the Jews is identical to the Old Testament of the Christians, you have a few things to learn about the history of these texts.

The Jews and Christians haven't changed the Old Testament.
When Muhammad had the Qu`ran written, he added in some of Judaism and Christianity to try and lend it (Islam) some credibility.
The only credible Holy Book, is the Holy Bible (from the original manuscripts.)
As far as hostility goes...who is that straps bombs to themselves and blows up innocent people? Hmmm...not the Jews or the Christians. Gee...guess who that leaves?
