why does that bother people so much? Of course we want you to have that in your life too. Nobody is really stopping you from believing whatever you want to. Why do you think people feel the need to try to change the way we think or mock us?

It's an important message and a big part of our lives -- that's why we talk about it.

Being a Christians entails more than just believing in Christ---it actually means trying to obey Christ--to stop seeing sin in others---to stop judging & condemning others--treating all people as you would like to be treated.I've met many who say they believe in Christ---I've yet to meet one who actually obeys Christ!

The key is not why they do or don't, it is how they understand.
This is the key! Understanding!

I personally do not understand many things. However I may lean towards my own understanding, which can lead me to a form of ignorance. It also can lead me towards a form of Logic or Intelligence or Rationality, etc., etc., etc..

Does this understanding I have help me to help others. Maybe! Maybe not! But what it is, is my own understanding.

Now if I step outside of my own understanding and look towards another's understanding, will this enable me or disable me. For some the answer is yes! For others the answer is no!
Why?
If my answer was no, it is because I prefer my own understanding as the only way.
If my answer is yes, it is because I realized that my way is not the absolute way.

Does this make me stronger or weaker. For some it is a weakness, for others it is a strength.

The key to this whole issue is Understanding!

Ditto! I don't know why it bothers them so much. Some say we force God on them. Where & when? I don't see it from my perspective. I don't want my neighborhood public school teaching religion. (They can barely handle the three R's.) I send mine to an excellent private religious school that I pay for 100%, w/no public funding. I attend a church that receives no public funding, but we offer social services to all people (Christian or not) and you don't have to be or become a member. My church is on a beautiful, spacious campus and we open the grounds up the the neighbors for sporting events, etc as one of our goals is to be a beacon in the community. No one has an issue with that! I vote in each and every election and vote for candidates that support my moral and social values. Where's the problem with that?

I have my beliefs and they have theirs. I'm not ashamed of my faith, so sure I'm open about it! Some people are OK with us until we mention the name of Jesus. Despite what they may say, even if it's drenched in hatred or ridicule, we have to remember that since we know Him, we are held to a higher standard by God. We have to keep our minds on Him regardless of what those around us say.

it's because of the way that christians go about their presentation and it's annoying the way that some of them think it's like when they ask in my opinion a stupid and downright disrespectful and insulting question like where do non christian and non-religious people get their morals from and also it is pretty biased as there are many people who feel that their religion is right for them and the right one as well and why should anybody feel that they are right and everybody else is wrong and then there is the i am the victim routine and the i am being persecuted bit as well as the everybody hates me like they hated christ oh that is such a crutch i have no idea why they think that just because people might not agree with them that they are hated and persecuted and are victims otherwise i could care less what religion a person has just stop force feeding it on other people

Of all my people, grandparents parents uncles aunts cousins brothers, I have never heard a word about changing anyone or mocking them, I never heard a bad word coming from any of them, towards others in any way shape or form.I know that's hard to believe, but its true, If their concerned about someone they will pray for them and that's about it. those who act strange and mock people and don't show them love.then their not truly Christian, as were to have love for others and that means not to put people down or think we know better then God that all people have free will, we know that by judging others we judge ourselves and God will not allow us into heaven if we judge others.for one thing, we lose a lot when we judge.were to have love for others and if you have love like Jesus wanted us to, then theirs so much spiritual rewards their for us when we truly have love.I feel blessed to have had such wonderful Grandparents and parents to show me how to live spiritually.they also taught me that Jesus said that all that call on the name of the lord will NOT be saved ONLY those that do my fathers will .will make it to heaven said Jesus.a person must ask of the spirit to know Gods will for them in this life.no matter what path they follow .theirs still just one spirit of God which can guide then and direct them and lead them to heaven when they die.as Jesus said ,in my fathers house or many mansions.theirs a place for everyone who loves God and trys to do his will.I wish you the best.

Oh I'm happy with what you believe, it is the people that want to force everyone to act as they do, or at least as they pretend to. You are OK by be and I enjoy your subtle approach. I read your page and I like you, but you won't have any more luck changing me that I would you.

Because the belief is inhernetly bigoted and narrow minded. That belief inherently says all others are unworthy of salvation. It is judgemental. Frankly I think it is wrong...even evil...to teach children that everyone who doesn't believe like you do is going to hell.

How would you feel about a belief system that I had if it stated that anyone who accepts Jesus is going to become a homosexual in the afterlife?

It really doesn't. What bothers me is that you want your fairy tales taught in public schools (in science classes no less). You want to pass laws that limit the freedom of others. You all are doing your best to stop scientific research. You blather at me when I end up on the chairlift riding single. You don't give a rat's tail about the environment because your god is supposedly coming back soon. You send me vitriolic e-mail because I don't share your delusion. And that is just for starters.

don't really get the point! could you be more specific or is it just talking? People have been asking this for 2000 years, isn't it time to move to the next level? You've got only one life left.

Because Jesus said our message will offend people. People hate the light and love darkness.
