I went on a Royal Carribean cruise in July 2006 on Rhapsody of the Seas and it had great facilities and they always had your room clean when you came back and they make little towel animals. I had fun and I am 15 now... if you are a kid it's not the funnest if u r not very social and the pool was always crowdy instead at night which is when I went swimming. The food was pretty good almost changed every food and we went to the Windjammer Cafe the most or we got pizza from where the private pool was. The showers are kinda of small but it was really nice. Overall I loved it and can't wait to go again.Have Fun!

I find Royal Caribbean to be a great line. You are getting a nice rate, a little more budget friendly, but you are getting good service and food, comparable to some of the much nicer ships. Usually the difference between Royal Caribbean and Carnival is very minimal and I feel you get so much more with Royal Caribbean.
It does depend a little on the ship that you are looking at, but for the most part all of Royal Caribbeans ships are great. My personal preference is probably Freedom of the Seas, it is pretty amazing.
Check out Cruise Critic to get info on the ships you are looking it. It can really make your decision a lot easier!

I used Royal Caribbean on the one and only cruise I've ever been on. They were excellent. The ship (Grandeur of the Seas) hit the pier docking at Costa Maya, and got a hole six feet high and twenty feet wide. While they were repairing it, they let everyone stay on the boat for an extra week and gave each cabin a $200 credit to buy stuff on the ship.
They took those of us who had to get home sooner to an airport and flew us back to New Orleans. They put everyone up in the Hyatt for the night and we were able to make our flight home the next day. They handled the whole situation very well. I would definitely use Royal Carribbean again if I ever go on another cruise.

We take four cruises a year. We have been on Carnival, NCL, Holland America, Cunard, Princess, Celebrity and Royal Caribbean. We loved Royal Caribbean and Celebrity so much we bought stock in the company!
We have been to Panama Canal, Hawaii, Caribbean, Alaska, Canada, etc. I am now disabled and I appreciate the facilities Royal Caribbean offers to its disabled passengers. Celebrity also has great service.
The food on Holland America was horrible! Princess was worse! We love the food on Royal Caribbean and Celebrity. They really do make you feel special. Customer service with Princess, Carnival and Holland America was non-existent!

My husband and I went on RC's Empress of the Sea to Bermuda last year. While it was my 3rd cruise (2nd time to Bermuda) it was my husband's first experience with cruising.
We were quite impressed with the accomodations, service, and food. There is a lot of activites & events to do on board, as well as the multiple shore excursions to choose from. The cruise line was extremely helpful in the planning stages, providing us with a lot of information in a helpful packet. We would recommend Royal Caribbean Cruiselines to anyone who is interested in cruising. While it seems to be more appealing to adults (ages 25+), we noticed lots of kid-friendly/family-friendly events.
We are hoping to take another cruise in the next few years and will probably travel on Royal Caribbean again.

We I took a big bottle of rum in my luggage, I was told when boarding the ship you can't take liquor in your luggage opps? I didn't know that so assumed it would not be in my luggage when it arrived in my room. Well it was still there so no problem, I also went ashore and bought some Jamacian Rum and passed through their scanning machine, no problem haha. My thought is just play dumb and try all that can happen is they will take it and hold it till you finish your cruise. But if you get it through you will save alot on drinks.Oh I didnt see the age thing, hmmmm again if a 20 year old wants to drink doing it from the room behind closed doors would be best.

I have been on many many cruises on Celebrity, Princess, Norwegian and RC. I have been on about 10 cruises on RC and I can vouch for them that the food, service and ships are great. The new Freedom of the Seas is one of their best ships for people of all ages. My personal preferences among their ships are the Jewel of the Seas and the Brillance of the Seas, identical ships but both great.
The Freedom, and its new sister being launched soon, the Liberty of the Seas, will go to their private island in Labade, Haite. It is THE best private island I have ever been on . It is so large that they provide fre etram service between its beaches and it has all types of activities like parasailing, jet skiing, snorkeling, etc. You cannot go wrong with RC.

Not too bad, but if Celebrity goes where you want, chose them first. Check cruise ship ratings on the internet and you will find Celebrity at the top of the reasonably priced cruise liners. I always enjoy Princess as well. If the big big Freedom of the seas is what you want, go ahead, but I think the ship is too big.
