Wedding Size Question?

Question

In terms of wedding size levels- what are the various levels and how many guests are typical at each.
Such as Intimate, Small, Medium, Large, Extravagent, Destination ar anything else you can think of?

I was talking in terms of guests.... sorry if i wasnt clear on that.

Intimate-very small, just close family and a few close friends

Small-anywhere from 50-100 guests

Medium/Average-around 150-300 guests

Large-over 300 but no more than 500

Extravagant-anything over 500 guests

Destination-basically 2 witnesses(Maid of Honor and a Best Man) and maybe your parents and siblings if they want to and are able to go

Vegas style-just the bride and groom

Eloping-nobody knows about it and just the bride and groom are there

I've sorta always thought that the size of the wedding is something like this:
Intimate: Family and very close friends
Small: About 75-100
Medium:100-150
Large: 150-300
Extravagent: 300+(I've been to a wedding that had close to 1,000 people there! That's what I'd call over the top! It was fun though)

For a destination wedding you should invite on the small side but don't be surprised if it's more intimate...a lot of people who would normally go to your wedding just won't be able to make the trip. I hope this helps!

Intimate = 50 or Less
Small = 51-100
Medium = 101-200 (the average # guests in U.S. is 167)
Large = 200-250
Extravagant = >250 (however, extravagant is more about cost of wedding, rather than guest count)
Destination = Too difficult to guest...on average I would say it could range from 25 -50 once you take into account parents, wedding party, and guests. I had a friend who had a mexico wedding and they had over 80 people attend. It really depends on who you invite, the destination, and the cost of traveling there.

I'm not an expert in any way but I would call the wedding that my husband and I had a small wedding. We had about 75 people. I'd say intimate would be family and close friends only and medium around 125...I'd say extravagant is over 200, but that's just me. My husband and I paid for everything and ended up with a wedding less than $5000 for everything...

I'm just guessing with numbers, but just go with what you can afford and take into account about 10%-20% of the people you invite won't be able to attend.

A medium size wedding is good. I sent invitations to everyone I knew and everyone my husband knew. Of everyone I sent invitations to hald rsvped and showed up, it was a medium size wedding and it was the perfect size.
Intimate- would only be immediate family and the closest friends
Small- would average about 15-20 people
Medium- would average about 21-50 people
Large- would average about 51-100 people
Extravagant would be anything over 100 people

The average sized wedding has between 125-150 people.

A small weding has up to 75 people

Large weddings have more than 160

Intimate would be just the bride, groom and their immediate family and 2 or 3 very close friends. Small would be same as above but a bit more close family members and friends. Large would be every above and more family members cousins and such and more friends and work place friends, depends on how many you have. Extravagant would be all relatives, friends and acquaintances. The destination wedding can be tricky, depends on how many people can afford to travel where the wedding will be held and how many you'd be willing to pay for if they couldn't pay themselves.
