I was a realtively healthy 20 year old girl last november.I have missed 3 periods since then. I have taken two blood tests, had a physical examination and taken SIX home tests and it has been a firmly discovered that I am NOT pregnant. My hair is falling out quickly and I am losing quite a bit of weight. I am extremly fatigued all the time, I have trouble getting up to go to the washroom even! and I spend most of my days feeling extremly weak. You know that feeling after you have been really really sick?It is like I am wasting away. I eat as much fruit and veggies and lean meat as i can, i try to excercise, but i have to sit down every 10 or 15 minutes because i will collapse if I don't.I have had an MRI done and a CT Scan and they came back clear.I have had copius amounts of blood and urine taken, to no avail. Can someone please help me out? what do you think?I am worried, it has taken me 20 minutes to type this.My doc is so confused.

i have also been tested for all STD's and such (urine and blood testing). I came back clear across the board. I have given them almost a bloody pint of blood altogether. My thyroid and hormone levels have been checked as well, and came back normal. My doctor told me she could not find anything in my bloodwork to indicate a problem.

It could be almost anything. It is anything from simply stress to something like breast cancer. I really couldn't tell you what exactly it would be. Your doctor would have to know.

Has your thyroid hormones been checked. This could simply be a hormone issue. Next I would suggest blood work for autoimmune disorders. See if your doctor has checked these things which are simply done by bloodwork.

It has to be Addisons disease. Most blood test dont look for Cortisol which would be a defining factor. Talk to your doctor about being refered to an Endocrynologist. Another sign is changes in your skin pigment. There is no doubt in my mind that your Adrenal system is the culprit. Dont worry though, if this the case it can be totally managed with one prescription! you can e-mail me if you want more info.

I'm like in the same situation -- I've missed 2 of mine, and my hair is falling out slightly.

It can be just stress. I'm a pretty stressed out person, and since relaxing and trying aromatherapy (lavender), it's decreased.

Good luck, girl.

Have you had a cardiac work up? I would rule out heart problems next. Also, have you had a chest x-ray? Also ask if you have had hormones checked (estradiol, testosterone, FSH, and LH).
