Yes the yolk will be green and the whole egg will be rubbery. You will find many ways to boil eggs, this is how I do mine.
I bring water up to a boil and add 2tblsp white vinegar. I then place the eggs in the boiling water, careful not to crack them, I use a large spoon to place them. Make sure all the eggs are covered with water. I then set the timer for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes I turn off the heat and run cold water over the eggs.
They always come out great for me, easy to peel and the yould is tender and moist.
EDIT
If you do over cook the eggs they are not unedible. You can use a cheese grater and grate the eggs, yolk and all, then use the grated eggs with mayo and mustard for egg salad. The texture isn't as prevelant when made this way.

If you want it soft-boiled, yes!!!
Decades ago at summer camp, the cook boiled eggs at least an hour before breakfast.. we had fun taking the yolks out and using them as 'ammo' or actually bouncing them off the table! They tasted fine, though...

Yep, and getting the shell off is next to impossible without completely destroying the egg.
