You should marry the guy. By the way you write you'll need someone to support you forever. Anyone will do.

leave him
words mean absolutly nothing. a person can say they are your best friend and then stab you in the back the first time you are not looking. a boyfriend or girlfirled can do the same. I try to pay attention to the things people DO not say. if a person loves you they show it in ways that most people don't notice, little things mostly like giving a back rub or foto massage when they notice your tired, when they go out of thier way just to do something, anything it don't matter what it was.
just remember this - in every relationship anyone has ever had people make promises and say many things.......but when you break up none of those promises are kept and things like "i love you" and " i'll never leave you" become meaningless

The truth is, It all depends on the situation.
Go with your instinct. Trust your inner voice.
If you believe that he can never be trusted, or that you can not forgive and maintain a healthy relationship, then move on.
His reason for cheating may have nothing to do with you. I can just about guarantee that, actually. A cheater cheats. period, but as a reader, I do not know the circumstances involved. Is this an ex wife he feels badly for??? Was it a mercy ***k??
Only you can answer that.
My guess is that you know the answer, but you do not feel good enough about yourself to do anything about his cheating. I do hope I am wrong. If you made it clear that you can't tolerate cheating, and he broke the rules, well, he just let you know that he is not the man for you.

oh i have the same experience.
i'm not going to say that people don't change
and i'm not going to tell you "once a cheater, always a cheater"
but when my long ago ex boyfriend cheated on me, i took him back because he loved me (so he says lol)
but after a few months he did it again...so i kicked him to the curb...
so i'd say it's really based on how you feel, do you think that you can trust him again? if you can't, no matter how much it may hurt, dump him.
but if you are willing to give him a chance, then you should take a risk =]]
hope this helps

There will be no way to trust him again and he obviously don't love you to cheat on you. Once you cheat the relationship is over part cause you will always wonder if they are out doing it again and what to stop him if you forgive him. Getting even won't make it better either so don't think that just move on.

if a man really loved you he would respect you enough to not cheat or hurt you in anyway. Besides the old saying still stands, "once a cheater always a cheater" also lying is a good sign of a cheater and someone who loves you would never want to hurt you.

If he cheated on you once he will do it again. I have learned this the hard way. Leave now. You don't need someone you cannot trust. And don't forget about the risk he is putting you in regarding STDs which can be life threatening like HIV.

contrary to popular belief, love does not hurt.
i could forgive (with time) if it was a one time thing and he has proven that he's really sorry. but it seems that it is a continious thing with your guy, what's even worse u know the person whom he is cheation on u with!
U NEED TO KICK HIS NO GOOD A/S/S INTO THE NEXT MILLENIUM (and maybe kick him in his nuts too!!!)
