Well may I give you an idea?
My daughter is a year old. What I do is wash her hair lean her back and then rinse the water out. Or what you can do is go the the Beauty Supply and purchase a hose to attach to your sink and use that. I don't belive there is a guard for the baby

unfortunately, they don't exactly sell these. I had the same problems wen i was a little kid, and always cried w/ shampoo in my eyes. As i see it, u hav 3 choices:
1- Get a washrag, and put it on her forehead. If child keeps pressed on forehead, it will soak up water.

2- Purchase an old motor cycle helmet, and take the clear (prefferably plastic) visor piece off. Hot glue or nail a handle (maybe from a hairbrush/wooden paintbrush) on to it, and put a foam edge around the visor to protect face.

3- Use the old fashioned hand upturned around hairline cupping water away from face.

#2's ur best bet!!!!
Good luck-bi

At toys r us we carry a cup that has a rubber piece in it. it's about 5 or 6 dollars and comes in 4 or 5 different colors. it helps not getting water in the eyes. They also sell fast(at least at the store I work at)

I always lean my daughter back anyway. we have a bath routine. I use three different shampoos and rotate them every bath she has.

I couldnt find it on the web site, so you will have to go to a store. It's by the shampoo and bath mats ect...

Walmart - in the kids' bath section
or
Babies r us

Also, what worked for me finally was to have the kids either:

1) lay back in the water with their head in one of my hands while i used the other hand to rinse their hair salon style - no cup needed. I would have them look for stuff up in our shower (a shower head, a blue shampoo bottle...anything to make them think (be still and breathe) for a minute).

2) have them search for some things higher up in the shower while they are sitting up so it gives you a little longer to rinse. i always have our kids look for spiders, but that's us.

Good luck with the rinsing bucket! I've contemplated buying one, but the tricks i just shared are working for now. Also, I find it helps them if I keep smiling through the whole painful process!

I got one in Mothercare but that was a year or so ago. It was like a foam band round the head with a peak like a cap at the front. I cant really say how effective it was because my daugther did not like it and pulled it off!

I got the flexible visors that they sell at Target, Walmart, or Babies R Us. They came in a two pack. I have used them since my daughter was a baby. She is almost 4 now and showers with me. This keeps the soap and they water from directly hitting her face. Just make sure you velcro it tight enough or, when wet, it will slip down!

I bought mine from eBay for 99p, my daughter hates in being on her head so now I tell her to look up to the spiders and her hair is washed! No tears or crying then it's back to play time.
