In informal discussions, I have been surprised at how many people believe it is not a moral issue, and I would like to get a handle on the percentages who say yes and no.

Why would it be a moral issue? Global warming is indeed happening but it is because of solar activity not man. Don't buy into the alarmist BS. The "experts" all claimed that we were entering an ice age in the 1970's. If you truly want to understand this issue, look at the money this new industry will generate for the people out there trying to scare everyone. Scientists do not even agree that global warming will cause devastation. Think of it this way, if Al Gore was so concerned about the environment and being green, why does he fly all over the world in private jets to give his speech? He could do the same exact thing via a web conference. Don't let these people fool you, they are laughing all the way to the bank. Please understand that I am all for things that are good for the environment, but this is just a money scam.

It is a common sense issue, it is way overhyped and the people who are overhyping it want to feed off the government grants. Global warming is .6 degrees C in the past 125 years. There are more scientists who believe GW is natural and not man made, but those voices won't be heard because it is not politically correct. Follow the money, this is a huge attempt to make the USA a communits nation.

Just answering the guy above.

Sorry, but the scientific data goes the other way, that global warming is not natural. So do the vast majority of scientists. Hard data shows that it is not changes in solar radiation causing this. Details.

Global warming is clearly not natural. Here's some hard facts. The first report is the authoritative document, full of data. It's a 21 page summary, the 1600 page full report will be out soon with voluminous data as proof.

Lots of data here. For example, changes in solar radiation are 0.12 watts per meter squared, while changes due to man are 1.6 watts per meter squared, more than ten times as much. The problem is not changes in solar radiation.

And this graph of CO2 is very enlightening.

The little teeth are the natural "carbon cycle". doing its' thing. CO2 goes down a bit in the summer and up a bit in the winter, consistent with plant activity. The large trend upward is us. We're digging up carbon the natural cycle buried over many many years, and burning it real fast.

Volcanoes are insignificant compared to the effects of man:

Which is why most all scientists agree global warming is real and caused by us.

"there is a scientific consensus on the reality of anthropogenic climate change. Climate scientists have repeatedly tried to make this clear. It is time for the rest of us to listen."

"the question of global warming was settled years ago for all but a few holdouts in the scientific community"

Unfortunately, we're kicking nature's butt on this one.

here is a novel concept, who decided that this current temperature is the ideal one for the planet.

I live in Kansas City, long ago KC was covered in a massive ice glacier. What makes Al Gore think that our current temp is the ideal one.

Did the SUV's the cavemen drove cause global warming?

Try this... http://drudgereport.com/flash8.htm

The House just canceled a meeting on global warming due to inclement weather!

You dumb-assess actually believe we have something to do with this!
