I have been looking for a message board to post on because the last time I went to a party and brought up the topic, everyone there suffered from the same problem - dry mouth, and we are not all on the same medications, and we are not all diabetic. It's not a matter of thirst, its a matter of perpetual dry mouth, and nothing seems to help. Doctors inevitably resort to the most logical - medication. The young people at the party were not on any medications. I have tried switching waters, I have tried everything including eating citrus fruits to stimulate saliva production, which only lasts about as long as any other remedy, about an hour. Please email me directly: feleciakiwak @ yahoo.com

As another poster Lady Luck answered I would speak to your Dr because this can be a sign of Diabetes. Always being thirsty, dry mouth, frequent trips to the washroom (also if the water tastes "funny" - caused by acetone build up) It could also be a medication I know that sulphur based antibiotics say to take with plenty of water, and they can leave you fairly dry in the mouth too.

Have you been tested for diabetes? Are you on any medications that list "dry mouth" as a possible side effect?

I blame the joint you just got through smoking.
That stuff causes dry mouth.
