Besides, middle school is a time of heartbreak more than anything, dont sweat the small petty relationships.
And when people ask if it was meant to be, well, if you are already in a relationship than apparently it was meant to be a relationship of some length.
As for how long this relationship was meant to last.....well....as you mature you are going to learn alot about yourself and what you are looking for and needing.
Middle school is a great time for casual dating (not speaking from experience becuz my middle school career consited of heartbreak and hatred) but from what I have seen its a great time to try dating different people to more easily discover what you love and hate.
