I like this guy and this year he is taking this other girl to prom but he is not dating her...and I dont know if he ever will. He hugs me when he sees me and always talks to me and encourages me. He sits with me at hockey games and we talk so easily about everything. He helps me learn new things and he is always smiling. He walks me as far as he can to one of my classes. Everybody thinks he likes me but Im confused about the whole prom situation. Any opinions?

♥Sweetie, maybe he is just takin her 2 prom jus to be nice. If u r still confused u should ask him and see how he feels. If he treats you as good as you say he does then maybe he is just afraid u dont like him in the same way. Ur best bet is 2 go to him and talk to him about the prom situation and tell him how you feel! Well, i gotta go!

Proms always seem to be big deal. Hearts are broken, everyone looks like that have been retrofitted in polyester...it's crazy. If you can talk so easily about everything to him, ask him if you be able to dance with him at the prom. The song you want to play when you dance with him is "When I Fall In Love". Those several minutes will be the most confusing and delightful moments of the whole evening. Everyone who thinks he likes you will smile.

It sounds like he likes you, but may have agreed to the prom date situation prior to discovering his feelings for you. If you like him ask him out, but you know prom will be off limits so make plans to go with a friend or a group of friends. Then you could meet up with your guy afterwords. Good luck.

If he already told the girl he was going to take her, he shouldn't back out... that wouldn't be very nice or respectable... but you can hang out with him at prom and dance with him, he doesn't have to stay by her side the entire time..

Talk to him about prom. It's like three months away right? He made his plans too soon and maybe if he knew you liked him he would change them.

It could be they are just friends and could find no one else to go with. Don't worry about it. It does seem like he likes you so just give him time!
