You can send him as air cargo without someone carrying him on-board, kind of line an unattended minor...Contact the airline

First, have you checked with the airlines to see if weather across the US will permit flying??The hold where the crates/luggage go are very cold or hot. There are times weather will not permit.

I assume you are adopting and getting from a kill situation to you?! Bless you for caring.

There is a huge trnsport effort out there for this type situation. Most rely on drivers to cover a certain distance and then pass off to another and so on until the dog is "home". Contact the nearest doxie rescue on line. Yahoo has groups dedicated to transport so search that. Even if able to fly her the internet is going to be a great help. A rescue in Atlanta could get her on board for you with all her papers. Maybe find a passenger that could take her on the plain in carrier if meets the size requirements. Not sure.

Will email this question to my rescue for input. Keep us posted on progress here.

Try posting at local colleges. They have travel boards so that people can find other travelers willing to pay for gas. As we approach spring break season you may find a student traveling to Vegas who'd be willing to take the dog. You would need a friend in Atlanta to help with this though.

There are also pet carrying companies (I looked into this when I had to get a dog from Houston to Raleigh) these are people who will drive the dog from one city to another. This can be rather pricey though (but they do love animals)

You could also try posting on Craigslist. They have EVERYTHING there.

Hope this helps

Just had another brilliant idea. Try posting/calling at local flight schools and small airports. There may be someone who's flying up to Las Vegas for fun.
