When we were visiting Fort Lauderdale we went to the Rustic Inn Crab Shack. Great crab legs!!!!! They served them with boiled potatoes that had been tossed in butter. At first, I thought that was weird and rather plain. However, the crab was so rich and tasty that the boiled potatoes were a perfect accompaniment.
If I was doing it for company, I would leave the skin on the potatoes, probably use the small new potatoes if they're available, and after drizzling with melted butter, I would sprinkle some fresh parsley on top (parsley cleans the palate, too).
You want the crab to be the star of the show, so side dishes should be simple and plain. Perhaps some fresh tomato slices, or a salad. And I'd have some nice French bread, too... great for catching butter drippings.
(Tomatoes used to be called "love apples" and people thought they were an aphrodisiac)

I was reading in the paper today that asparagus and pine nuts are aphrodisiacs, so you could roast some pine nuts, finely chop them and serve them with cooked asparagus. After the asparagus is cooked-when it is bright green-, drain the vegetable and then toss it with a little olive oil, lemon juice, parm cheese shavings and the nuts.

I usually have shrimp and crab legs and occasionally corn on the cob. But you can do a cold pasta salad like macoroni salad or a seafood pasta salad... www.cooks.com has every recipe imaginable...Good luck!

I love breaded okra with seafood. You can buy it in the frozen section and then just put it in a pan with some oil to sort of deep-fry it.

Baked or roased potatos. Use chocolate covered strawberries for dessert, it's very hot to feed them to each other.
