That is not considered a date. It sounds like you are really attracted and infatuated with this guy. If you really like him, try bumping into him in the building, 'accidentally' and start up a conversation that is appropriate for the moment. From there, you will know if he likes you too. If he stays and talks to you for a while, then he does. If he appears to want to leave and not want to talk, then move on.

i did that too but it didn't mean that i was going out with him in fact i went on lunch and walked through the store and he found me in an area and said oh there you are but that didn't mean that we were dating either. omg!!!
