my friend eats glue,paper, her boogers, and once she dropped her gum outside when we were walking and picked it up and..ATE IT! What should i tell her? her mother knows she eats glue. could she die? But she eats non toxic glue, but still, what could happen to her??????????????

I think she is deficient in some sort of vitamin or something that is gross.How old is she 2

Your friend could possibly be suffering from a condition known as Pica, which is a craving to eat substances (such as dirt, coal, chalk, wood) or any other non food items. Pica may be a feature of various nutritional or iron deficiency disorders. It may also occur in psychiatric disorders. Her mother should talk to the Dr. about this. Your a good friend to be so concerned.

Nothing will happen to her but she should stop that because it is gross and eating paper could cause your stomach to hurt. I seen a episode of trauma er or something like that and a girl ate paper and she went to the hospital because her stomach hurt. It turned out she was pregnant but the doctors thought at first that it was because she ate paper.

Kudos to you for being her friend! How old is she anyway? Children attempt to eat gross things because they don't know any better. If she's over the age of 5, she should seek help!

yeah probably not die but should probably see a psycho-therapist if shes older. If shes under the age of 12 i would suggest a play therapist mine used to help me alot.

She could get ill. She will never get a boyfriend of any quality with that behavior. She is too gross!!!

Sounds like a very NASTY habit, but I doubt she would die. Get sick , possibly but not die.

she should be ok. sounds like PICA to me-an eating disorder. i'd recommend doing some research on it.
