My young friend in grade seven, is giving her boyfriend a bunch of expensive stuff, and he is giving her jewlery but expensive stuff! Is that too much and why do they have to go out at such a young age.?

the problem is that somebody is supplying them with so much money at such a young age, or they are earning it inappropriately..........

That's how our society is - you are seeing it played out now by a younger generation. Advertising, marketing and even the business owners tell us to spend, spend, spend and you don't love your mate enough unless you spend all your hard earned money on them. It's really stupid, but the best you can do is to teach your young friends that material items are in no way a reflection of true love, devotion, affection and caring.

that is wayyy too much. you should wait AT LEAST until you're in high school to start dating, and even then buying expensive stuff is a little much... even though at my school one guy got his girl a tiffanys necklace...
