if im cooking beef tips with cream of mushroom and beef broth in a crockpot, should i cook it on low or high?

Depends. If you cook it on low it will take about 8-10 hours. If you cook it on high it only takes 4-6 hrs. I think that's usually the rule of thumb when using a crock pot to cook something.

if you cook it on low the meet will be a bit mushie. on high it well over cook if you don't keep checking it . your best bet is try cooking on high then about 1 hour before its done cook on low good luck have a great meal

Best taste is low heat for several hours,

BUT, if you are in a "hurry" (shouldn't be using a crock-pot then), you CAN turn it up and they will probably be done in an hour.

Tip: add 1/2 cup of red wine or dry sherry to the pot. MMMmmm!

I say low and all day long...this way you do not have 2 worry about them drying out and they will be so tender they fall off the fork.
