Why do cashews cost more than peanuts? Ive never understood that? are they hard to harvest? thanks for ur responses

Peanuts are bushes & grown locally; cashews are trees & are imported. Makes a BIG difference in harvest quantities, availability and pricing.

I believe it is the harvest expenses and to my understanding they throw away than what actually makes it in the bottle

Probably because peanuts usually come two to a shell, so it is half the work.
