I asked this question a couple of months ago but I had to erase it because my brother seen what I was doing. One day he walked in the house real late and didn't say a word. Then his girlfriend the next day turned up missing. I've asked him if he knew anything because he's the last person that was with her but he said he doesn't know anything. She still hasn't turned up and it's been three months. Everybody is looking for answers. He's been acting weird and doesn't let anybody go in his room. Should I trust my brother and leave the investigation to the police or should I snoop around in his room? I know this sounds weird but what would you do in this situation?

for those who say that the police should have already looked, when they asked my brother about it he lied so they dont know that he was with her. the police haven't been asking us anything else. they moved on to other possible senarios and can't come up with anything.

if his girl friend went missing three months ago and he is acting wierd she is probably ran away from home to cheat on him or he killed her or he paid someone to kill her and if i were you i would go in his room w/your parents and snoop around while he is gone

I know you care about your brother and snooping would only prove of your distrust in him which, if he learns, would surely hurt him. But since there are other people involved (his gf, his gf's family, etc.) you should stop worrying about yourself and your brother alone. If he did something wrong then let him pay for it. inaction doesn't always work especially when you know something's up. Not telling the police would be tantamount to inaction. if only you could put yourself in the shoes of his gf's family then you'll know how it'd feel to lose someone.

if i were you, i'd take a peek in his room. if there's anything suspicious, i'd go tell the police what i saw and let them do the necessary steps.

I would go to the police and tell them everything you know and let them decide if they need to check his room or him out..You never know, he really could be hiding something. Hope everything turns out well for you and you should be really nervous because YOU could be next..please go to the police today!!

Are you serious?
The police should have already snooped in his room.
