My girl friend and I celebrated Valentines on Monday. I cooked her dinner, but here is what we had for dessert:

I couldn't find the crystallized ginger, and didn't use coconut (she doesn't like it) but I did mix almonds, and macademia nuts with the pistachios.
Brotha, this ROCKED!!! I think what you could do is get your ingredients together and make the dessert with your lady friend. That way, it makes it more fun to do. Hint though, make sure the cream cheese is at room temperature, or stick it in the microwave on half power to soften it up for a minute or 2.
it will be messy, but fun, as the frosting doesn't like to stick to the strawberries very well.

Strawberries and pinneapple dipped in chocolate, ala fondue style...or you can also buy the chocolate you heat in the microwave...(look in the baking aisle)...that is for dipping fruit...
adding kiwi's, raspberries and mango's would be good, too!
and adding some Cool Whip would be fun, too!
An even better idea...blind-fold your partner...serve her/him cut-up fruit dipped in a variety of things...(like the aforementioned chocolate and/or Cool Whip) and get her to "guess" what she's tasting....lots of fun...very sexy and lets you know how much they trust you.....(don't spoil it by giving her something bitter, sour or bad...)...

At most grocery stores you can get chocolate fondue. It's easy u just pop it in the microwave for a few seconds and its ready. Get some stuff to dip in it ( i recommend strawberries!) and you're set.

Definately vote for the strawberries and whip cream. Just get a good quality whip cream ... so that it taste's good no matter how you end up using it! LOL.
