You mean mad? Why be mad? No one should feel obligated to buy someone a gift or say "I love you" because the date on the calendar says they should...it just comes across as insincere and forced then anyway.

Cherish the moments when he expresses how he feels on his own...without it being a day that's been designated for him to do so.

I don't believe that you should be mad if he doesn't get you anything for Valentines Day. After all... he is your partner and I am sure he buys you nice things at other times. I don't think your emotions and attitudes should be based on 1 day of the year. It's just a day.
It takes a lot not to conform and be like everybody else. If he shows you love and compassion every other day of the year... then let it go.
Men are providers and protectors by nature. Women are caring and nurturing. We think with our hearts and men are more cranial. If you have his love and trust along with all the other assets that make up a great relationship, then surely the material things should take a backseat. It takes a lot for a man to give his heart to a woman. Appreciate him for that! Don't get caught up in the hype of one day.

Did you buy him something??? If yes, then yea be mad! If NO you didn't then why do you think he would or should?
SOME guys need a hint that you are expecting something. I'm in the same boat I bought my boy an outfit, and I'm tripping cause I have no idea if he got me anything so I'm with you... But I am going to get mad, that's why I asked if you got him anything.
Well I hope one of us or both of us get something!!!
Honestly I'll go back to the store and exchange his gift for something I want.... LOL

Valentine`s day is artificial and over rated. I much prefer the spontaneous gifts given over the course of the year, not because it`s a commercial holiday, but just because he was thinking of me.
Does he show you he cares the rest of the year? I find that more important than chocolates and roses once a year.

Wow-Mr. Lawyer's answer was just downright rude. Trashy? Why are you calling her trashy? And what's with the comment "you should know what lawyers are capable of?" Yeh, BS!!!! Keep your degrading comments to yourself; there's no need for rudeness here!
By the way "Mr. Lawyer" the word is anyway, not anyways. Where did you attend law school?

Did you get him something? If he did not give you something, I would question his judgment as a bf, but if you do not offer him something, you have no right to get mad if he does not get you something.
