Well if I were you, I would just look at his wedding registry and get him something that him and his new wife could really use. You don't have to get him anything "special" just because he is your ex-b/f. Obviously he has moved on and you guys are just friends. So lets rephrase the question, "what is the best wedding gift to give to a friend?". Oh thats easy, just look at the wedding registry and get him something he wants! lol

Something from the wedding gift list. If none Gift Vouchers from a good home store. You should be treating the gift as you would going to any other wedding, not to the extreme just something you think would genuinely be nice for them. As it's your ex boyfriend I take it you are part of a crowd of friends or something like that and that's why you are invited? You will have to realise he has chosen someone else and shouldn't be thinking of him as an ex boyfriend, you are only making problems for yourself.

I agree with the person who said "something from the wedding registry" if they're registered somewhere.

If they're not, a nice ceramic or silver frame (about a 5x7 size) for a wedding picture is a nice gift... or something engraved with their name on it (Things Remembered in any mall) like a door knocker, picture frame, Christmas ornaments, whatever... just something that says "The Smiths" or "Gary and Donna Smith" or "Our First Christmas Together - 2007" or a picture frame with their wedding date engraved across the bottom.

Another nice idea is a gift card or gift certificate for a local restaurant. A gift certificate by a local upscale restaurant is nicer than a giftcard from a chain... so think about what nice romantic little Italian place is near them or something... and go there in person and ask about a gift certificate.

One last option, if they're wine drinkers, is a nice set of wine glasses and a bottle of wine or champagne flutes and a bottle of champagne or sparkling wine... or two bottles of wine, one red and one white. If you choose a sparkling wine, consider Iron Horse Wedding Cuvee Brut. It's very tasty and a perfect wedding gift :)

The right thing to do is just get something off of their registry that they actually want. If you are doing it to be nice because you really do wish him well, then the gift will be well received by the couple.

I wouldnt get him anything not on the list though because too many things can be read into it, especially if you two were together for a long time.

A framed picture of you looking absolutely hot..just to remind him of what he is missing and what he'll never have again..
On a more serious note..if there are no hard feelings between you two then get a gift that will be beneficial to him and his wife. This will show that you respect her and she wont feel intimidated by you. Something for the house to maybe use in the kitchen. Good luck

Well how much of an ex is he?

Good: something they new couple can use

Bad: Showing up and being a "drama queen"

Worse: Have one last fling right before he says I do and taping it and showing it at the toast

Are you for real? WHY IS MY QUESTION.?if you like his wife to be then something suitable, if not then be a ***** , hell use your imagination. I think i all boils down to the reaction you want from them, and how you wish to be perceived by the giving of the gift........
