How old are your dogs? Have you taken them to a vet for their ears to be treated? If you have not then you need to take them now. Next step would be to en roll your dogs in an obedience class to get them away from their negative behavior. If you have a Pet Mart in your area you might want to check them out or ask your vet who would have better advise than asking here in this forumn

I would have suggested putting something distasteful (like cayenne pepper) on the ears to deter them, but if the skin is broken, that would be painful. Bad idea. You might want to ask your vet about it.

I also agree with the other poster about getting something else for them to chew on. But rather than rawhides, I would recommend NylaBones which can be found at any PetSmart or similar store. Our dogs had a problem with rawhides because they would suck on them until they were soft and then swallow them whole. Nylabones work much better.

Good luck!

Tie their ears back. I read an article that two dachschunds did the same thing. I guess one of the dog's ears were getting in the food when he ate. You can buy a little doggie hood at your pet store.

I got a new dog and they fought until I was going to get rid of one. I read about dominance and how you have to be the "Alpha" of your pack. They fight for top rank (meaning they don't recognize you already hold that position) When they fight instead of fussing at them and expecting them to "play nice" I started ordering them around....Sit, Lay down, and being very authoritative and they are much better now..it's like a miracle. Until you make progress...can't you keep them apart? Read up on advice from the Dog Whisperer.

They must be young dogs. Eventually one will realise that it hurts and stop it. This is puppy behavior.

Get them some chewies like dried rawhide or pigs ears. That will satisfy there chewing desire.
