I recently went shopping for a stir fry pan, and there were so many choices! hard anodized something, teflon, etc. Which is the best and does the price indicate how good it is? Thanks.

I personally use a basic non-stick wok.

Never had a problem.

ignoring for a second the fact that you can't stir fry at home because your stove doesn't produce enough heat to do the job, the pan of choice is still the classic el cheapo hammered steel chinese wok.. If you have an asian grocery store in your area they usually have them also try restaurant supply stores preferably Chinese. Take the money I saved you on a wok and buy a real Chinese cleaver -about twenty bucks.

Woks are specifically made for stir-frying. They are like a cast iron skillet in that they need to be seasoned and then only washed with water. Price doesn't matter, how you treat the piece does.

I don't know brands or anything like that but look for somrthing that is durable, is a good heat conductor and has a non-stick surface. also examine the pot to see if it is lightweight. Price is not a determining factor as the most expensive may not be good at all.

It does not matter too much. Its stir fry so you are constantly stirring. Go cheap!
