I'm 4'9 (and "1 centimeter") according to my doctor. Supposedly I am done growing and that is that. I am going to have to deal with it. I would love to hit at least 4'10 (since I know 5'0 is now impossible) but it probably won't happen. Some things are hard for me to reach but it's OK. Guys like short girls, and want to protect them. I'd rather be short then really tall.

Im 4'11 and I do KNOW that at times, it is difficult to be taken seriously. I am a responsible human being, I do not act like an idiot in social settings. I have had to "prove myself" on different levels when it has referred to jobs, and whatnot. I always get carded, and its annoying, bc all I can think, when a man hits on me.....IS: IS this man a pedophile? Im told I look like Im 13 all the time, and its just IRRITATING>
Now, overALL, Im alright. Im not "ruined or scarred" by all of this. Its just lame being treated like a child when your 28, everytime you go out in public!
An' whattsup with the slang "SHORTY?".........it makes no sense. Its used for all women in slang. Is it bc women GENERALLY are shorter than men? It used to be used only for us short lil chica's! '''; okie dokie.....L8R sweetie!

The only difference between short people and tall people is the height. There is no major personality difference, as everyone has a different personality anyway, whether they are short or tall.

I love shorter and petite girls, and most of the guys I hang out with do too. You're fine at 5'1" and its just height, its not like being short makes you a sh*tty person or anything and if people can't see past it, I guess that tells you what type of people they are.

I have always had a thing for short women. It is something about them that is extremely sexy to me.
As far as short men, you are either cool or an azzhole. I run into many short guys that have that Napoleon Complex, but I understand that short people sometimes have to be really tough, because people tend to take them for a joke or take their height for weakness.

Short people are perfectly fine. I envy you though. I'm only 4' 10 1/2" I wish I could at least hit 5 feet. It may not happen though. I'm almost 16.

I'm 5'2 and being an amateur scientist,I attribute my height to racial genetics where I believe my people are meant to be around this height(and stay this height, not be changed)-most people in my group (via genetics) are shortish, and lean, with a certain type of hair and eyes.I don't want people telling me I'm wrong when they should acknowledge I have a certain breed with certain attributes(sort of like a dog, some are suppossed to be tall and some short or medium height, with their own unique bark and hair).

In general they are just people who happen to be short, So I feel no different towards them than I would towards anyone else. My mom was short & I loved her & my daughter is short & I love her & sometimes I like her.

You're not short, you're fun-sized!! But seriously, I'm the shortest person in my family and it doesn't bother me at all. I actually really like being short. It means I can always wear heels and never be taller than my dates.
