This is what's typical, according to me.

Light beer and lagers: 3-5%
Regular beer, lagers, stouts, wheats: 5-8%
India Pale Ales (IPAs): 7-12%

*Dogfish Head 120-minute IPA: 21%

Wine coolers and malt beverages: 3-6%
Reisling, champagnes and sweeter wines: 8-12%
Most reds and whites: 11-17%

Liquor: 20-35%
Hard Liquor: 35-50%

Everclear: 95% :-)

Beers can be anywhere from 3% to over 12% depending on exactly how it's brewed. Wines range from 11-18%, again depending on how it's fermented.

Regular liquors are fermented. Hard liquors are fermented and then distilled, raising the alcohol content.

Beer tends to be around 6-8% alcohol. Wine 12-17%. Hard liquor is above wine which tend to be around 30%+
