Somebody told me that, when you get a sun-tan, the amount you tan is determined by the amount of something in your skin (may have been 'pigment'..maybe not). Anyway, I was hoping you could tell me if there is anything that I can eat or drink that will increase the amount of 'something' in my skin and enabling me to get a better tan. please help.

Nothing you can eat will give you a better tan, as it is determined by the pigments in your skin. HOWEVER, as a little bonus, eating carrots (or anything high in B-carotene) has been shown to give your skin a slight orange pigment... that's almost as good, isn't it? ;-)

depending on how easy you tan, you just need to find the right tanning oil FOR YOU. lots of san can cause skin cancer. Do you really want that?? Limit yourself to how many times a week you go in the sun/ tanning bed. So what you look white, big deal. sun also causes wrinkles!

No matter what you eat, you can't get a tan. The "tone of your skin" determines the shade of your skin. So, if you have a fair complexion, you won't tan as well compared to someone who has a darker complexion.

Nothing you eat can increase melanin (what causes the shade of skin you have). What you're born with is all you'll have for the rest of your life. Sorry.

absolutley nothing you eat will make you tan better. you're better off not tanning, because people are getting skin cancer more frequent that ever.

nothing. what you eat has nothing to do with how much you are going to tan! you get tan because of how much melanin you have in your skin and this isn't produced by food.
