That sounds very much like sciatica, or possibly radiculopathy. Sciatica is caused by entrapment of the sciatic nerve (which is the biggest nerve in the leg), as it comes out of your pelvis, producing pain that radiates down the leg, especially with movements that cause compression of the nerve. Radiculopathy is similar, except entrapment of nerves occurs as they come out of the spinal column, usually by the bony vertebrae encroaching on it -- but the symptoms are basically the same.
I would see your doctor about it and make sure it's not something worse, because there are some situations that may be much more serious, and the nerve entrapment is only a secondary symptom.

This sounds like sciatica. The sciatic nerve runs down through the buttock and all the way down the leg. I would see the doctor. You may have a slipped or herniated disc in your spine which could be putting pressure on the sciatic nerve. Not pregnant? Someimes in late pregnancy, the sciatic nerve gets compressed from the weight of the abdomen.

Sounds like sciatica to me. I have it and it is extremely painful. I have gotten relief from my chiropractor and also actupuncture. Try elevating it whenever possible, like putting a low stool under it when standing to do a chore ( dishwashing, preparing food, etc) A pinched nerve is probably the cause. Good luck. It comes and goes.

This could be because of muscle fatigue or dehydration. Try exercising all parts of your body. It also sometimes is due to disuse atrophy. Consult a doctor if it persists. You can also look for information in the web. I found this website very useful. http://aches.in/cramps.html

That sounds like a pinched nerve to me. The only way to get rid of it is to walk it off.
