The REAL question you should ask is "WHY THE **** did I lend him my car if he doesn't have a license?"
Covering up or HOPING for a coverup after the fact is just wishful thinking.

If there was an accident then it is highly likely.
If he just got a ticket then don't worry (about that).
BUT...
Lets cut to the real world here for a moment for a quick lesson in reality
If he did NOT have an accident then consider yourself VERY lucky. If he had hit someone then:
a) Your insurance company might decline coverage since you allowed an unlicensed/uninsured motorist to drive your car. There is sure to be a clause to that effect in your policy and it is just common sense.
b) With NO insurance coverage in place, YOU, as the owner of the vehicle, will be held responsible along with your BF for the damages. If someone is hurt, consider how you would be paying for your 'half' of a $50,000 pain and suffering judgement ?
c) You are worried about rates ! You should REALLY worry about these potential consequences the next time he asks for the car.
Enough said???

The blame is placed on the driver, but the other car can sue you as the owner along with him as the driver. Your insurance co will get the report.
Get your boyfriend's insurance to cover this accident and your rental car. Don't be nice about it and make your rates go up.

If he was driving your car and you turned it into your insurance company, then yes, they will probably get the police report. In many states, insurance follows the vehicle, not the driver. Your insurance will cover the claim as long as you gave him permission to drive the car.

Will your rates go up? No, you weren't driving.
Can they deny the claim and cancel you? Yes, they can. Plus, if your bf damaged someone else's property - that other party can sue you and your bf to fix it.

I would say if your boy friend was driving you shouldn't have anything against you. I'm not sure what state you are in the jurisdiction might be different than mine.
