i doubt believing in religion at all. i believe in god, but think religion was just a moral code for society so it wouldnt end up corrupt. its not that I dont believe in religion, i just think anything is possible. this queston isnt meant to affend anyone. should i feel guilty? especially being a muslim and doubting my faith?

i always wonder why 3 religions, islan, judiasm, christianity, have almost the same basic moral conduct and what not, which one is right? I have strong faith in god, but how I do I know everything I am told about religion is true? I know its all about faith, but I percieve things very differently. I choose to do what I want if it makes me happy, what is so wrong about that?

Religion and culture are two different things. Religion is a beautifull thing, but culture can spoil a beautifull seed. Same things with polotics. If you even try and mix it with religion, it is just a terrible mixture. I know islam is in such disarray because of the culture. The religion is not flawed. Only the people. Not saying that I am better, because I am faaarrrr from being perfect. But that does not mean others are better than me. Nor am I better than them. GOD to me is something else. Sovereign. GOD of all religions. And the latin definition for religion is "to tie back and bring together".
I really can't direct your faith, I can only give advice and kind words. The rest is up to you and allah. HE is still your freind and will guide you if you simply "ask". Respected. Salaam!

you need to look reall deep into Islam. Your doubts are the work of none other than the Satan. It's understandable to feel this way because of society. This is because the religions people "categorize" themselves in are just that. Categories. Like gay or lesbain. But that's not what religion is. Its a way OF LIFE. Its a moral code. Its restrictions and limitations. You cant do everything u want- if u did, you'd end up right where many people are in society: sleeping with a new whore every night. I don't mean to offecd anyone. But this is the reality.
Being Muslims has nothing to do with not being allowed to doubt urself. Its the opposte. Look at this as a step and greater search for knowledge. Tell your parents how u feel . Its always good to have a good relationship with ur mom and dad.
Guilt is not the issue. Don't think too hard. U are in the right religion, and both me and you know that. I will do anything I can to help you . Just NEVER ever loose your faith in God. This is the one thing that will help you on the Day of Ressurection. SOmetimes you may feel weak or unsure. Just remember God. And read and search. And if you have anything you Ever wanna talk about
email me : bazookabblgm91@aim.com
In all 5 of my prayers, i will make pryaer for u to be giuded in the right direction and help u connect with God. Dont listen to what the media says about Muslims. HAVE FAITH.
Peace.

You're not doubting your faith, you're doubting your religion. There's a difference. You can still believe in Allah without believing in every detail of your religion.
Also, don't blame your religion - or any religion - for what people have made of it. You can create and interpret Islam in the way that works for you, regardless of other people's motives.

Praise be to Allah.
May Allah help you brother(or sister), let's start it all over again and all what Im going to say is based on EVIDENCES. so this is muslim-to-muslim conversation.
FIRST: Evidences of the existence of Allah. try this link:
http://www.islam-qa.com/index.php?ref=26745&ln=eng
Now, I guess you believe that Allah is present and watching me now typing this answer and watching you reading it, so let's move to the next point.
SECOND: Evidence that the Qur'aan is the Word of Allaah. try this link:
http://www.islam-qa.com/index.php?ref=13804&ln=eng
Now Qur'aan is the True Word of Allah, let's move the next point.
THIRD: Evidences that the Sunna is trustable .try these links:
http://www.islam-qa.com/index.php?ref=604&ln=eng
http://www.islam-qa.com/index.php?ref=10521&ln=eng
Now you truly believe in Qur'aan and Sunnah, and following thier orders and avoiding what they order you to avoid, if you do, You are an excellent muslim, now to the last level.
FOURTH: what the muslim should do when he is disturbed by waswaas (whispers from the Shaytaan) and evil thoughts. I hope this link will help:
http://www.islam-qa.com/index.php?ref=25778&ln=eng.
May Allah guides you to and keeps you on his straight path. Ameen

The social duty of religion and the right to religious freedom
2104 "All men are bound to seek the truth, especially in what concerns God and his Church, and to embrace it and hold on to it as they come to know it."26 This duty derives from "the very dignity of the human person."27 It does not contradict a "sincere respect" for different religions which frequently "reflect a ray of that truth which enlightens all men,"28 nor the requirement of charity, which urges Christians "to treat with love, prudence and patience those who are in error or ignorance with regard to the faith."29
2105 The duty of offering God genuine worship concerns man both individually and socially. This is "the traditional Catholic teaching on the moral duty of individuals and societies toward the true religion and the one Church of Christ."30 By constantly evangelizing men, the Church works toward enabling them "to infuse the Christian spirit into the mentality and mores, laws and structures of the communities in which [they] live."31 The social duty of Christians is to respect and awaken in each man the love of the true and the good. It requires them to make known the worship of the one true religion which subsists in the Catholic and apostolic Church.32 Christians are called to be the light of the world. Thus, the Church shows forth the kingship of Christ over all creation and in particular over human societies.33
2106 "Nobody may be forced to act against his convictions, nor is anyone to be restrained from acting in accordance with his conscience in religious matters in private or in public, alone or in association with others, within due limits."34 This right is based on the very nature of the human person, whose dignity enables him freely to assent to the divine truth which transcends the temporal order. For this reason it "continues to exist even in those who do not live up to their obligation of seeking the truth and adhering to it."35
2107 "If because of the circumstances of a particular people special civil recognition is given to one religious community in the constitutional organization of a state, the right of all citizens and religious communities to religious freedom must be recognized and respected as well."36
2108 The right to religious liberty is neither a moral license to adhere to error, nor a supposed right to error,37 but rather a natural right of the human person to civil liberty, i.e., immunity, within just limits, from external constraint in religious matters by political authorities. This natural right ought to be acknowledged in the juridical order of society in such a way that it constitutes a civil right.38
2109 The right to religious liberty can of itself be neither unlimited nor limited only by a "public order" conceived in a positivist or naturalist manner.39 The "due limits" which are inherent in it must be determined for each social situation by political prudence, according to the requirements of the common good, and ratified by the civil authority in accordance with "legal principles which are in conformity with the objective moral order."40
