That does seem a bit steep. Yes the MSRP is just under $41K for the hardtop and nearly $46K for the convertible, the invoices are $3K and $4K less, respectively. But those prices are just for the very basic model, they dont include wether you want leather interior, an upgraded sound system, certain mechanical improvements, different wheels, etc. I would shop around just to be sure.

That does seem like a lot when you could get an 03 or 04 Cobra cheaper. It is a used car, but those Cobra engines can stock take a lot of power.

Another Mustang owner.

Listen, at the end of the day the bottom line is that it's a mustang. Don't get me wrong, I love Mustangs (and I own one) BUT.. I'm not going to pay $45000 for a Mustang. I don't care if it's a Cobra, a Lizard, or a Kimodo Dragon!

If I have $45k to spend, you're in a DIFFERENT BALLPARK of automobiles.

A Vette will badly outclass it for the same price!

But.. it's your choice.

Go to http://www.nada.com and find out the retail. It's all there.
