I believe in evolution - it's a great idea man thought up to avoid dealing with God. It's been a key tool of the secular world mind set to keep people from seekeing God.
I also believe in the tooth fairy - as a story.
I don't believe evolution occured as the Theory of Evolution - gradual random changes leading to more and more complexity while scientific observation shows that systems always wear out and tend toward chaos. And that is a proven - check out the laws of thermodynamics.
But, there is room for evolution, what one may call micro-evolution, where changes occur within the information already available in a population, to express or suppress a characteristic. Speciation and adaptation are indicators of God's foresight and cannot be extrapolated to invoke macro-evolution as reality.

Some comments are correct, about things evolving over time, but if you believe that humans evolved from some single-cell organism your brain has to be a single-cell organism.
It is absolutely absurd, and an insult to the most High creator, that all things as perfectly co-existing as they are simply came together by chance.
If you told me that the bookshelf that I made came about from nowhere, or it evolved from a toothpick, not only would I be annoyed but i would think you are retarted.
How do you think God feels about the fact that no one gives him credit for all the beautiful creative work he did to set this planet apart from all known planets in the universe.
Also you pro-evolutionists, if you were to have another growth coming somewhere out of your body, would you not go get it removed by a surgeon?!!! But why would you do that and restrict what you believe in??
Think about it.

It's demonstrably proven. In responce to poster number 8 (Bryan) saying: 'it's only a theory'.
‘Theory’ in Scientific Discourse
Christians who doubt evolution are apt to say things like”evolution is just a theory”. Such statements betray a misunderstanding of the way the term ‘theory’ is used in scientific discourse. In Science, facts must be explained in reference to other facts. These larger explanatory models are ‘theories’. Theories make predictions and can be tested.
The phrase ‘theory of evolution’ doesn’t suggest that evolution is not proven. One can speak about ‘the germ theory of disease’ or ‘the theory of gravitation’ without casting doubt upon disease or gravity theories as facts of nature.

Not me. I don't believe it to be true.
I know it to be true.
All the evidence from practically every field of science related to it supports that theory. Second only to the inflationary theory (relating to the Big Bang), it is the most supported theory in science.

LTD: Geographic isolation. The population was split. One part evolved, the other had no need and thus didn't.

I accept evolution. There is good scientific evidence to support it. There is no other demonstrable theory out there. Everything else is pure conjecture or wishful thinking.

In biology, evolution is the change from generation to generation in a population's inherited characteristics, or traits. Minor random changes in the genes that encode these traits cause organisms to have slightly different traits than their parents. how could anyone not understand that species do evolve.

I don't, personally. I prefer to believe my ancestors were people. And it is not a fact, as people seem to believe. It is an outdated theory full of holes and nonsense. But, believe what you want to believe. That's the great thing about this country.
