"Many couples that get together under what society or family might call 'forbidden' circumstances find that their relationship is stronger because of it," she says. "The hardship they suffer in the early days can bond them together in a special way and not having others to share their feelings with means that they lean on each other. In the longer term, there's also the knowledge that they put their love for each other first and a deep belief that love really can conquer all."

Sometime a person may want to defy the odds and accept a relationship as a challenge. Whatever you do, do not be in a relationship just because someone says it will not work. If your parents are against it and they have your best interest at heart, I would take note of why they are against it. The feelings are not so much stronger, the challenge is just greater.

It's human nature to desire what we cannot or should not have...however the interest often wanes if we attain these things because we typically learn they aren't as spectacular as we'd imagined...we'd just built them up in our minds because they were supposed to be taboo...

We always want what we can't have. We grow out of that when we mature, hopefully.
