No, not helping. I believe they are giving weapons to those groups who are against allowing Iraq to regain a peaceful government. And I don't think that is helping Iraq. I think Iran likes to keep the pot stirred and it's neighbor weak.

THE REAL QUESTION SHOULD BE,
Is Iraq a threat to the United states ?
The answer is no,
not in any way, they are just a bunch of people just like us when a country attacks your neighbours, do you just sit around and let it happen ?
or do you jump in and help the best way you know how.
Just imagine if Canada was attacked by France, would the United states stand by and let it happen ?,
I don't need the answer, we know what would happen, France would be a useless parking lot ,
if they didn't get out right away.
, We all know that, so my question is Iran is only doing what the United states would do if we were attacked , nothing less.
But a word of warning, Iran is a very strange country if you ask anyone that was in war against them as Iraq was , they are vicious they will do terrible things to inflict harm on their enemy there would be no safe place on this earth for Americans, just ask any Iraqi they will tell you when Iraq attacked a stronghold of Iran they actually stood their own children in front of their lines and in order for the Iraqis to finish the attack they would have to kill the babies, this is not a lie, just ask any Iraqi, ,
if Americans believe they will defeat the country of Iran, the problem is you will never stay long enough to hold it.
. it will be the start of world war three.

To be more specific, Iran is helping the Shiites in Iraq. In the same way, the Saudis are helping the Sunnis in Iraq. This is natural, since both have to help their respective brothers in Iraq. The question is... are these actions morally right or wrong?.
To answer this, I will give an analogy. Let's say the Russians invaded Canada, then later on the Russian invasion resulted into an insurgency war. Will the U.S. help the Canadian insurgents or not?. Of course, the U.S. will help the insurgents with whatever means. The Americans see the Canadians as their brothers. Then, what if the Russians accuse the U.S. of aiding the Canadian insurgents, then present captured American weapons as evidence?.
I guess, the answer speaks for itself...

I absolutely do believe that Iran is helping the insurgency in Iraq. I can also tell you that I'm uneasy as hell with the democratic regime in Iraq and it's apparent ties to the Shiite government of Iran, plus it's obvious relationship with the Shiite cleric Sadr, and Sadr's obvious influence over al Maliki.
It appears now, that Sadr has taken refuge in Iran because of the US threat of clamping down on right wing militia's inciting the problem and provoking a civil war.
Back to Iran, because I don't believe the pot they are stirring stops in Iran. Lebanon, and the support of Hezbollah is another target of Iran and it's partner in crime, Syria. These two country's are actively trying to take down the democratic government in Lebanon. The Palestinian authority, and Iran's support of Hamas, is yet another area of discontent sponsored by Ahmadinejad. The skirmishes along the Israel border, by Hezbollah is yet another problem sponsored by Iran. Last but not least is the build up and support of the Taliban and if true, puts Iran solidly in bed with al Quaeda.
You ask if war is necessary? I don't see how we can avoid it. Ask that stupid broad in California, and she will tell you that diplomacy will get the job done. To her, I say bullshit!

Right now, no credible evidence has come to light. Suni groups are of course entering Iraq, but there's no proof that this is sanctioned by Iran.
Keep in mind that the major claims of Iranian involvement in Iraq are coming from the same government official who insisted Iraq had WMDs and was responsible for 9/11, both of which are claims that have been debunked.
Snow has a history of lying to get us into war, and this looks like more of the same.
Hell, the "evidence" if from "Anonymous sources" and has not been corroborated. That alone should tell you something about what's going on.

I believe you mean helping the insurgents. And yeah, probably, though we had to know going into the war that it was likely. If it came as a surprise to the Bush administration they are even more incompetent and isolated from The Real World than I thought; more likely it's an excuse to dump the "surge" troops along the border, rather than Baghdad where the increased visibility will do more harm than good.

They probably are. For the moment we have our plate quite full with Afghanistan and Iraq we really don't need to get into it with Iran or Syria both of whom have been antagoinizing us all along anyway. I don't think the Iranis are stupid enough to use nukes but are using them as a way of getting attention. If they were to have nukes they are likely small and, yes would do some serious damage to a large Israeli, American, or European city but if they did such a thing there would be nor more Iran to have to worry about it because those countries Iran is opposed to the most could wipe them off the map. I don't think they are that stupid.
Sometimes it is called saber ratteling for attention.

Iran is as tribal as Iraq. Iran is probably made up of dozens of militas. Any one of them can send weapons into Iraq. Iran is also sending weapons through Syria to Hezbolah and I wouldn't be surprised if Syria was taking some of those weapons and shipping them to Iraq.
