Traveling with small, digital camera?

I have a small camera and i want to take it to FL w/ me. but i dont have a case....what can i use as a sub?? i dont want to buy one, i dont have time to...is wrapping it in bubble wrap and putting it in a sock a good idea? any other recommandations?

I have a small camera too and also don't have a case and I just put bubble wrap on it and its fine.

If you have an old eyeglasses case it will do well, either hard case or soft
